20 suspected SARS cases in Russia, may close border with China
Moscow, May 06: Russia has recorded more than 20 suspected cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the government is considering closing the border with China, the country`s deputy health minister said today.

and the government is considering closing the border with
China, the country's deputy health minister said today.
Gennady Onishchenko told the Moscow echo radio that he
could not rule out that in the near future the government may
examine, "The possibility of a total closure of the border"
with China.
China, the likely origin of the SARS virus, is also the
epidemic's top victim, with a nationwide death toll of 214 and
a cumulative number of cases of 4,409.
