Joanne Froggatt hints at role in next 'James Bond' film

Actress Joanne Froggatt, who plays Anna Bates in TV show 'Downton Abbey', has hinted that she has auditioned for the 24th 'James Bond' film.

London: Actress Joanne Froggatt, who plays Anna Bates in TV show 'Downton Abbey', has hinted that she has auditioned for the 24th 'James Bond' film.

The 34-year-old star said she would suit the supporting characters of Q and M in the spy series more than the Bond girl, reported Daily Express.

"I can't comment really on that one," said the actress, when asked if she has auditioned for a role in the film.

"Who wouldn't like to be a Bond girl? I am not the Bond girl type. I would probably be more a Q or an M... We'll see. I don't know," she said.

Q was portrayed by actor Ben Whishaw, while actress Judi Dency played M in the last Bond film 'Skyfall'.
