Popular filmmakers on jury of Vishnu Manchu Short Film Contest
Well-known Telugu filmmakers such as Ram Gopal Varma, Deva Katta, BVS Ravi and Dasarath are on the jury for the Vishnu Manchu Short Film Contest for aspiring filmmakers.
Chennai: Well-known Telugu filmmakers such as Ram Gopal Varma, Deva Katta, BVS Ravi and Dasarath are on the jury for the Vishnu Manchu Short Film Contest for aspiring filmmakers.
Also on the jury are writer duo Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan.
The contest, which is being organised by actor Vishnu Manchu, is live at www.mvishnu.com.
The duration of the competing short film should be three minutes.
The intent of Vishnu Manchu Short Film Contest, launched by premier production house 24 Frames Factory, in intended to bring out fresh ideas. The award winning entry will carry a prize money of Rs.100,000 and an opportunity to direct a movie for 24 Frames Factory, read a statement.
"The idea is not to look out for mere technical aspects but the person's art of storytelling, even if it is through a mobile camera as long as the content keeps the audience engaged," Vishnu said.
The short film contest will be an annual affair, and the winners of the inaugural annual contest will be announced every year on actor-producer Mohan Babu's birthday March 19.
