Ellie Goulding recording 'Spectre' theme?

Los Angeles: Singer Ellie Goulding has fuelled rumours that she'll be recording the theme song for the next "James Bond" movie "Spectre".

The 28-year-old singer hinted at her involvement in the film when she took to Twitter earlier this week to post a "James Bond"-related tweet.

"Live and let die," she wrote, referring to the 1973 "Bond" film starring Roger Moore as the titular character. The movie featured a theme song performed by Paul McCartney with his band Wings.

The British singer's tweet came just days after fellow British singer Sam Smith denied he had been offered to sing the "Spectre" theme despite being a strong contender.

Marking the 24th "James Bond" film, "Spectre" will see Daniel Craig reprising his role as agent 007. Sam Mendes is back as director. It is scheduled for release later this year.
