Mumbai: The man with a golden voice – Sukhwinder Singh – enthralled the Indian Diaspora that had gathered at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the community reception event Wednesday night.

Singh, who was recently honoured with the prestigious National Award for the song ‘Bismil’, he had sung for Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider’, began his sizzling performance with super-hit track ‘Chak De! India’ - a song that oozes patriotism. The crowd too sang in sync with him in a way that will resonate in their ears of the people present there for many years to come.


The next track that Sukhwinder sung was his debut song- ‘Chaiyyan Chaiyyan’ from the film ‘Dil Se’. And then the ‘Kaminey’ track ‘Dhan Te Nan’....eventually followed by Oscar Award winning number ‘Jai Ho’.
