43 killed in bus accident in Nepal
Kathmandu, Sept 16: At least 43 people were killed and 19 others injured when their bus plunged 80 metres off the Surkhet-Salyan road in Salyan district in western Nepal, into the torrential Bheri river yesterday, police said today.

"At least 43 people were killed and 19 others injured
when their bus fell into the torrential Bheri river Monday
morning," police said.
The bus was heading towards Salli bazaar from Chhinchu, Surkhet in western Nepal when it plunged off the road, the police said.
Police said the accident occurred when the bus tried to give way to a truck coming from the opposite direction.
They said at least 40 people might have drowned when the bus plunged into the river while the bodies of three people have been recovered.
"The 19 injured were rushed to Nepalgunj for treatment," police said.
Police said over 65 people were onboard the passenger bus.
