President arrives on three-day visit to Bihar
Patna, May 29: President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here this evening by a special Indian Air Force plane on a three-day visit to Bihar.

The President was received by Governor V C Pande, Chief
Minister Rabri Devi, Railway Minister Nitish Kumar, Chief
Justice of Patna High Court R S Dhavan and a host of cabinet
ministers and others.
The President' hectic schedule includes a rare train journey from Harnaut to Patna, visit to Buddhist, Jain and Sikh shrines and interaction with different sections of society.
From the Jayaprakash Narayan Airport, the President drove straight to the Raj Bhawan, about one km from the airport.
A thick security cordon was thrown in and around the airport.
The President has a hectic day tomorrow beginning with an interaction with children at Raj Bhawan, addressing the diamond jubilee function of Bihar Industries Association and a visit to museum.
Later in the day, he would lay the foundation stone for the construction of rail coach maintenance workshop at Harnaut in Barh parliamentary constituency of Railway Minister Nitish Kumar and dedicate to the nation the newly-electrified Patna-Gaya route by flagging off a mainline electrical multiple unit (Memu) train at Patna junction on return.
