`Poker face’ singer Lady Gaga "bankrupt" from tour

Pop diva Lady Gaga has said she is "bankrupt" after her `Monster Ball` world tour because of the huge cost involved in staging the shows.

London: Pop diva Lady Gaga has said she is "bankrupt" after her `Monster Ball` world tour because of the huge cost involved in staging the shows.
The 25-year-old singer, who prefers elaborate costumes and backing dancers, admitted the production cost her fortune and her spending was more than her earning, reported a website. "I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the `Monster Ball`. And it was funny because I didn`t know! And I remember I called everybody and said, `Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five number one singles` - and they said, `Well, you`re USD 3 million in debt`," said Gaga. Despite the experience, the `Judas` hitmaker had failed to curb her expenditure and has spent on buying memorabilia from London of the British royal family to decorate her home with and remind her of her fans in England. "Gaga has sent her staff to London to spend USD 16,502 on Princess Diana and Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding memorabilia. She wants to set up a room in her New York apartment dedicated to London and all her precious Little Monsters over there," said a source. PTI
