Tiruchirappalli, Nov 06: A 43-year-old DMK activist was brutally murdered on the spot by unidentified persons at Thuvakudi near here yesterday night, police said. Rajamani was convenor of the DMK's women's wing of Thuvakudi unit, police said.

The motive behind the murder was not known, police said.
