How did Sonia forget that the disinvestment process was started by Congress. Everyone knows that when Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram were ministers, the shares of Maruti and petro companies were sold at a lower price, Naidu told reporters at a joint press conference here along with Rajnath Singh, general secretary of the party. It was also paradoxical that congress chief ministers from Punjab, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh were identifying the PSUs and selling them whereas Sonia was opposing the disinvestment, he said.
The profit making PSU Punjab tractor has been announced for sale by Punjab Chief Minister and in Chhattisgarh about 40 PSUs were closed down or divested, while the fate of PSUs in Karnataka was the same. But instead of reacting to that she preferred to attack the Centre, Naidu said. Bureau Report
