"The primary and secondary accusations against the
defendant have been legally and convincingly proven," Judge
Istiningsih said.
The main charge accuses Mukhlas, 43 of planning an act of terrorism "to give rise to widespread terror or fear or a massive number of victims”. The secondary charge concerns the possession and use of explosives.
The sentence will be announced later. Prosecutors have asked that Mukhlas, who has never expressed regret for his actions, be given the death penalty.
