New Delhi, June 05: Delhi High Court on Wednesday further extended the interim bail of DDA land scam accused and disgraced former High Court judge Shameet Mukherjee till July 15. Justice B A Khan, who heard the petition of Mukherjee, granted the interim bail and directed the CBI to file a reply to his regular bail application, which will be heard on the same day. The single-judge vacation bench also directed the investigating agency to file replies to the bail pleas of suspended DDA vice-chairman Subhash Sharma and hotelier Yashpal Minocha. The regular bail applications of Sharma and Minocha will be heard by the vacation bench on June 13 and June 6 respectively.

On May 5, Justice R C Chopra of Delhi High Court had granted interim bail of one month to Mukherjee on the grounds of his wife`s illness and mother`s old age.
However, Mukherjee was released on bail on May 11 after the custodial interrogation was over and after furnishing a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and a surety of the like amount. The CBI had arrested 15 people after filing four firs in the court. They include among others former Delhi High Court judge Shameet Mukherjee, suspended DDA vice-chairman Subhash Sharma, an IAS officer of the 1968 batch Commissioner (land) Anand Mohan saran, an IAS officer of the Haryana cadre director (planning), Jagdish Chandra, Ashok Kapoor, the suspended private secretary of former DDA vice chairman Ajay Khanna, an employee of DLF builders Pradeep Kapoor, Anil Wadhwa, Yashpal Minocha , Ved Prakash Kaushik (a middleman) Amrit Lal Kapoor and property dealers G R Gogia and Ravindra Taneja.
