Mumbai: SS Rajamouli couldn’t have asked or more. The ace filmmaker has indeed created history with his magnum opus Baahubali – India’s biggest motion picture.

Starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in lead roles, ‘Baahubali’ has raked in Rs 500 crores at the Box Office worldwide. This includes Rs 100 crores for the Hindi dubbed version, rare feat for any regional movie to accomplish. According to Forbes, Baahubali is the first non-Hindi Indian movie to make a business if Rs 500 crores.

The film originally made in Telugu and dubbed in Tamil and Hindi has joined Vijay Krishna Acharya’s ‘Dhoom 3’ and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’ by making it to the Rs 500 crore club. Reports suggest that the two Bollywood productions are the only two films to have made such mammoth business. Intersrtingly both films had Aamir Khan playing the protagonist.

Also featuring Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser, Sathyaraj and other noted south Indian film personalities, ‘Baahubali’ released on 10 July. The second part of the magnum opus will release next year.
