Magny-Cours, France, July 05: Rubens Barrichello hopes the overcast weather at Magny-Cours on Sunday will shoot a much-needed ray of light into his season.
The Brazilian, who won five races last season as Ferrari ran away with the championship, has yet to open his account this time round with a second place in Malaysia his best result.
The weather forecast here is predicting cloud rather than the anticipated heatwave Sunday, but the Brazilian is confident of taking advantage of any conditions.
"I expect things will be better here and I don't agree that that our package will suffer because of the heat. I reckon we will have a good weekend and the new track layout should suit us," said Barrichello looking at the changes to the circuit introduced to brighten up what is often a processional affair.

The major alteration is the axing of the tight and twisty section just before to the pit straight.

"I have heard that the changes mean it will be hard on braking, but we will have to wait and see. But I don't think we will see a repeat of the brake problems we had in Canada.

Barrichello was third at the Nurburgring last weekend, a result which has left him sixth in the title race.

"I'm still searching for my first win. It's going to be tough and finishing races is what counts, it's obvious that our nearest rivals and their tyre supplier have made a step forward this year, but this season is so hard to predict," he said.
