Nafisa Joseph was a model-turned-video jockey. She had won the Miss India Universe 1997 pageant and was a semi-finalist in the Miss Universe 1997 pageant in Miami.

She had reportedly hanged herself in her flat in Mumbai on 29 July 2004. Her marriage to businessman Gautam Khanduja was scheduled to be held in a few weeks` time. But it was called off after Joseph learnt that Khanduja was very much married and had lied to her about his divorce. According to Nafisa’s parents, she ended her life as she was thoroughly depressed.

She got a Filmfare Best Debutant nomination for the Ram Gopal Varma movie in which she plays a teenager besotted with a man old enough to be her father. She was found hanging at her flat in Sagar Sangeet Building in the posh Juhu area of northwest Mumbai on June 3, 2013.

In a suicide note, Kuljeet stated that she was ending her life as she was unable to cope with the complexities of life.

She had apparently lost all hope and was in deep financial crisis. She was running out of work and was deeply depressed. She is best known for her role of a seductress in Balu Mahendra’s ‘Sadma’ starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi.

Model Viveka Babajee was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her apartment on 25 June 2010 at her Bandra residence in Mumbai. Reportedly, Viveka committed suicide due to depression. The last page of her diary, which was found next to her dead body, had a message written,
