Islamabad, June 11: Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf left today on a one-day trip to Saudi Arabia for talks with leaders of the oil-rich kingdom, the state-run Pakistani news agency reported. Musharraf will exchange views with Saudi leaders and convey his condolences for the May 12 bombings of residential compounds in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, that left 34 people dead, including eight Americans, the foreign ministry said.

Saudi officials believe that Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network may have been behind the attacks.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia consult regularly on regional and international issues.
