Lanka just did not have enough on the board another 100 runs and things could have well been different. They bowled really well though to begin with. The likes of Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha were very effective with the new balls but as the game progressed batting got easier and it was too easy for Nicholls and Young. Another dominating performance from the Kiwis to take the series 2-0.

Young was the mainstay he batted brilliantly and is the biggest reason for Kiwis winning but Nicholls gave him able support.
