Flo Rida retains top spot on US singles chart

As Flo Rida and Clarkson continued their strong runs in the top 10 of Billboard`s Hot 100 singles chart, it was Carrie who scored the highest debut.

Los Angeles, March 20: As Flo Rida, Lady GaGa and Kelly Clarkson continued their strong runs in the top 10 of Billboard`s Hot 100 singles chart Thursday, it was Carrie Underwood who scored the highest debut.

Underwood`s "Home Sweet Home," the new elimination theme song for "American Idol," debuted at No 21, propelled by 112,000 digital downloads. Proceeds from the downloads benefit the Humane Society of the United States. In this week`s top 10, Flo Rida`s "Right Round" scored its fifth week at No 1, followed by "Dead and Gone" from TI featuring Justin Timberlake, which continued to hold at No 2. Lady GaGa`s "Poker Face" remained at No 3. "Kiss Me Through the Phone," by Soulja Boy featuring Sammie, maintained its No 4 position, while Kelly Clarkson`s "My Life Would Suck Without You" leaped four spots to No 5. Rounding out the top 10 were the All-American Rejects` "Gives You Hell," dropping one spot to No 6; Kanye West`s "Heartless," up one rung to No 7; Jamie Foxx featuring T-Pain`s "Blame It," up two positions to No 8; Miley Cyrus` "The Climb," down three to No 9; and "Just Dance," by Lady GaGa featuring Colby O`Donis, which dropped three slots to No 10. The week`s next-highest debut after Underwood`s was Keith Urban`s "Kiss a Girl," entering the Hot 100 at No 51. Miley Cyrus doubled up on the chart with a new entry, "Hoedown Throwdown," entering at No 56. Another new song from Kelly Clarkson, "Already Gone," debuted at No 70. Other chart newbies included the Black Eyed Peas` "Boom Boom Pow," the group`s first Hot 100 entry since "My Humps" went to No 3 in 2005.
