Chautala seeks Canadian investment in it sector

Waterloo (Canada), June 20: Joining the information technology bandwagon, Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala today sought investment from Canadian enterpreneurs to set up joint ventures in it sector in the state.

Speaking at an interactive session organised by leading
technology firms here, he assured all assistance to
entrepreneurs and promised them to clear their applications
for various project in a single day, an official release
said.

Pointing out that Haryana was well connected by rail,
road and its proximity to the national capital made it an
ideal destination for investors, Chautala said the
industrial-friendly climate, easy availability of skilled and
unskilled labour were the major attractions for investors.

An Indian Institute of Information Technology of
international standard and a cyber city were also being set up
in Haryana, he said, adding internet services were being
provided even in rural areas.

Earlier, Andrew Telegedi, MP, Waterloo Kitchener,
welcomed the high-powered delegation from Haryana.
