Margao: High on morale after their good performance in the AFC Cup, Musli Power Churchill Brothers will be looking to script a win over JCT to keep themselves for the title race in the 19th round of the I-League, played at Nehru Stadium, Margao here tomorrow.
Churchill Bros who have won one out of the four matches
in the second phase got a off in the last round against Pune
FC because of their commitment in the AFC cup, will be fresh
against JCT tomorrow.
Churchill Bros who have 26 points from 17 matches are
nine points behind leader Dempo, must win tomorrow to stay
close for the title race.
Churchill Bros coach Carlos Pereira said his players are
fit and high on morale after their win against Al Hillal in
the away match of the AFC Cup. JCT is doing well in the second
leg and we need to play to our potential. We want to win
tomorrow to improve our home record which is not impressive so
far, he said. The foreign recruits have helped JCT to play better in
the second phase and they have won four out of five matches to
place themselves just above the drop zone with 22 points from
18 matches.
JCT coach Parminder Singh said the loss against Dempo
will not deter us from playing to our best. The boys are well
prepared after the defeat and you can expect a good contest
tomorrow. Churchill Bros performance in the AFC Cup is
encouraging who will be looking to keep the winning momentum
going. All we need is to give our best if we are to win
tomorrow, said Parminder.
