New Delhi, July 03: India fought valiantly before going down 2-3 in the first volleyball test match against hosts Tunisia.
Tunisia had a hard time containing the Indians who fought for every point throughout the match. Tunisia took the first set narrowly as India offered some stiff resistance.
Tom Joseph and Abhijit Bhattacharjee's attacking game helped India take the second set 25-21. However, the team failed to take the third set despite defying the Tunisian attack for a long period.
After conceding the third set, Amir Singh's good blocks guided India to take the fourth set 26-24 to take the match to the decider.
However, the Indian spikers succumbed to the guile of their counterparts who took the final set 15-13 to win the match.
