Even 24 hours after the attack on Parliament House, security agencies were not sure through which gate the five terrorists entered the complex.
On Thursday it had been established that the terrorists came in a white car through the Vijai Chowk iron gate, but Parliament's closed circuit television has thrown a new twist, showing that they came in from the Parliament street entrance.
While investigations were on to find out the breach in security, different opinions emerged on the gate the terrorists used to enter. The only security lapse that is being attributed to the incident is that the ambassador car entered the complex without a Parliament sticker. The car only had a home ministry sticker.
Watch and ward security personnel of Parliament were of the opinion that the car came through Parliament Street but there was a divided opinion among the other agencies.
Rajya Sabha MP B P Singhal told newsmen that the car in which the terrorists came was ahead of his at the Parliament street entrance. The most likely theory is that the car came in through the Vijai Chowk entrance and then turned left and tried to move towards the gate which is used by the vice president.
