Tom Hardy to play Elton John in biopic

Los Angeles: British actor Tom Hardy will play Elton John in an upcoming biopic about the legendary singer`s life.

`Rocketman` is a joint production from Focus Features and Rocket Pictures, the movie production company is co-owned by John and his partner David Furnish. Hardy signed the film earlier this week, reports contactmusic.com. `Rocketman`, directed by Michael Gracey, will tell the story of John`s life, from infancy to the present day.
