Ahmedabad, July 22: Gujarat Congress leaders meet at Gandhinagar today to chalk out the party`s strategy for the assembly elections in the state.

Ahmedabad, July 22: Gujarat Congress leaders meet at Gandhinagar today to chalk out the party`s strategy for the assembly elections in the state.
Central party leaders Ahmed Patel and Kamalnath, who is
incharge of the state party affairs would be present at the
meeting which would be attended by GPCC president Sankarsinh
Vaghela, leader of opposition in the state assembly Amarsinh
Chaudhary and other state leaders, party sources said.

According to party sources the meeting would discuss a
strategy to defeat the ruling BJP in the assembly polls.

Meanwhile, senior leader Naresh Rawal today said the
elections should be held as per schedule as over one crore
electorate were still without voters identity card.

He told a news agency that the Congress would make representation
to the Chief Election Commissioner on holding of assembly
polls in the state and the problem of voters identity cards.
