Paris, Oct 29: British actor Roger Moore has been named a commander in France`s National Order of Arts and Letters.
French Culture Minister Christine Albanel hailed the 81-year-old former star of the James Bond films as a "legend of the big and small screen."
With his wife, Christina, at his side, Moore said at the Paris award ceremony Tuesday that the Arts and Letters award to him was worth "more than an Oscar." Moore starred in seven Bond films in the 1970s and 1980s including "Live and Let Die" and "Moonraker." Bureau Report
