Hyderabad, Nov 03: A Mumbai-bound Jet Airways flight was delayed for more than three hours tonight after authorities received a call that a bomb has been planted in the plane, the police said.
According to police, an anonymous caller informed the police that a bomb was planted in the Hyderabad-Mumbai Jet Airways flight which was scheduled to depart at 8 pm.
All the 69 passengers disembarked and search was carried out jointly by the CISF and the police after taking the aircraft to an isolated place, it said adding a dog squad was also pressed into service.
"The call seemed to be a hoax one", Jet Airways officials at the airport said.
This was the third hoax bomb call in the city today as calls were received that bombs were planted at the city Police Commissioner's office and a railway overbridge in the city, creating a security flutter.
