Jay Z`s club shuts down

Los Angeles: Rapper Jay-Z has shut down his 40/40 club.

The club was shut down following a slew of health-code violations just a day after its relaunch, reports gossip column Page Six. It is said that health inspectors found perishable food at dangerously warm temperatures inside the walk-in refrigerator and discovered "hot" food left out on the counter Thursday. A worker was also seen mixing salsa with his bare hands. "If you have a walk-in place with food like this, you put a hell of a lot of people at risk," a source said. "A night of dinner and dancing should not include the risk of contracting food-borne illness," a website quoted a source as saying. IANS
