Quick healthy chaat

There is almost always a “forbidden” tag attached to some of the most delightful dishes of the world and perhaps Chaat figures topmost in this list. Health and hygiene often cited as the reasons, chaat lovers generally have to satisfy themselves with occasional indulgence in their favorite food. But this delicious chaat recipe is so tasty and healthy that it need not be resisted and can be taken everyday.

But this delicious chaat recipe is so tasty and healthy that it need not be resisted and can be taken everyday.
Ingredients:

½ cup almonds soaked overnight

½ cup groundnuts soaked overnight

½ cup black gram soaked overnight and boiled

½ cup chick peas soaked overnight and boiled

1 cup each sev and papris

½ cup fried groundnuts

½ cup fried chana daal(one used in mixtures)

4 tbs sweet tamarind chutney

2 tbs lemon juice

½ tbs red chilly powder

2 tbs chaat masala

4 tbs beaten curd

½ cup onions finely chopped

1 small boiled potato finely diced

1 green chilly finely chopped

1’’ ginger finely chopped

½ cup fresh coconut shredded

2 tbs coriander leaves

Procedure:

Take all the ingredients(except sev) in a big bowl and mix thoroughly.

Add the chaat masala, chutney, lemon juice, chilly powder and curd in the end and mix vigorously again. Sprinkle sev generously over the chaat.

Garnish with coriander.

Serve immediately.
