Bangalore, Aug 02: Threat to national security, electronic warfare and cyber terrorism are among the topics that would be discussed by some of India's top engineers, engineer-scientists and technologists at a two-day national seminar, which began here today.
They would also discuss it and security paradigms, imperatives for digital convergence, wireless security, cryptography techniques, biometric techniques and electronic forensic systems for electronic security and legislative measures and enforcement mechanism, INAE officials said.
The seminar on "information and network security" is being organised by the Indian National Academy of Engineering at Electronics and Radar Development, DRDO.
"The seminar will focus comprehensive attention on the changing paradigms of information and network security covering all facets of the subject", officials said.
The discussions would be specifically focussed on the security aspects of communications and information processing. "The objective of the seminar is to create a symbiosis between the academia, research and development organisations, industry
and the government agencies, and to draw up a plan of action to enable India to become globally competitive in harnessing information technology", they said.
INAE said the seminar has been programmed towards specific targeted organisation/institutions drawn from captains from industry in public and private sectors,
government, research and academics who have contributed to the growth of intellectual capital in independent India.
