Ahmedabad, June 10: Police lobbed teargas shells to
scare away a stone pelting mob in a labour dominated locality
here this morning even as indefinite curfew imposed yesterday
in the wake of fresh violence continued.
Police said the situation in curfew bound areas including
Juhapura was tense but under control.
Violence erupted yesterday over detention of two
persons in connection with criminal cases, resulting in
killing of one person and injuring 30, eight of them in police

attaked by a mob, armed with swords in Behrampura area.

In Godhra town, an autorikshaw driver was injured when he
was assaulted by a group, police said adding, the incident
took place over the issue of payment of auto fare.
