Jamshedpur, Apr 12: The winning captain for England team, Andrew Strauss, today walked away with Man of the Match award. Andrew Strauss played an excellent innings of unbeaten 74 runs off 85 deliveries.
Giving the credit of the win to the seam bowlers he said that both Anderson and Plunkett bowled well on a flat pitch. On his experience of captaining the team, he said that the “experience was great”.

Andrew Strauss suffered a cramp during his innings and had to leave the crease. He said that lot of his team mates were suffering from cramps due to the heat.

The losing captain Virender Sehwag, when confronted, did not look too perturbed and said that it was the absence of Pathan, Agarkar and Dravid that may have contributed to the defeat. He added that experimenting could also sometimes lead to a defeat.

Sehwag however praised Mahendra Dhoni for his score of 96 runs and said that he was a match winner.

On his continuing poor form in the series he added, “We still have one match left in the series. And after that we have two matches with Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, so I hope I am going to do well.”
