London, Nov 28: It's official - women are the big shoppers, as a recent study has revealed that when it comes to hitting the stores, women take the lead.
According to a British study, women shoulder much of the burden of shopping, and spend an average of more than eight years of their lives hunting around the shops in search of their items.
The figure has been calculated on the basis of a day worth of normal shopping hours. It stacks up to 3,148 “9 to 5” days or 25,184 hours over 63 years.
The poll of 3,000 shoppers found women make 301 trips to the stores in one year. This includes 84 food shops, 30 for clothes, 27 for toiletries, 15 for shoes and 18 for accessories, reports The Sun.
