Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi served as the saviour for an eight-day-old girl child from Assam who was suffering from serious medical condition.

According to Mail Today, the girl was airlifted from Dibrugarh to be admitted to Delhi's Gangaram Hospital.

A traffic-free passage for the rescue team was ensured by the PM's intervention in the nick of time.

The infant was reportedly diagnosed with meconium aspiration syndrome intitally.

This is said to be a medical condition when first stool of the baby enters the lungs and on the child inhaling the contaminated fluid, it causes respiratory disorders.

It can be fatal.

But the Gangaram doctors said that the baby has persistent pulmonary hypertension, as per the report.

She is also said to be out of danger and making progress.

Doctors at Aditya Hospital in Dibrugarh, arranged an air ambulance for the baby which was scheduled to land at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport around 7 pm.
