An Afghan national living illegally in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district was arrested by the security forces on Thursday.

Srinagar: An Afghan national living illegally in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district was arrested by the security forces on Thursday.

He has been identified as Mohammad Dawood. The 27-year-old was taken into custody at Kralahar in Baramulla yesterday.

Dawood told police that he wanted to return to Afghanistan via Pakistan by crossing the LoC.

The Afghan national held from Baramulla district of Kashmir was on his way towards LoC to exfiltrate to Pakistan, Police said.
