Ranchi: Jharkhand has slipped to the 13th position from seventh in the ease of doing business rankings, according to government data on Friday.

The ranking is topped by Haryana (with 69 per cent score), followed by Telangana (68.46) and Gujarat (67.74), according to the website of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Jharkhand, which was in the third position in 2015, is in the 13th this year with 57.68 per cent score.

Bihar tops in the reforms done in the Single Window System list where Jharkhand does not figure in the top five positions. Jharkhand also does not figure in the top five states related to Labour Regulations Enablers. Haryana tops the list.

The opposition slammed the government after the rankings were out. "Jharkhand's image (of focusing on development) was created in an artificial way and gradually it is getting exposed," Kishore Sahdeo, Jharkhand Congress General Secretary, told IANS.
