Right then, the Super Giants will be the happier of the two sides, and with the firepower they possess, they will back themselves to chase this down. There doesn’t seem to be much on offer for the bowlers, but the Sunrisers’ bowling unit will need to keep the stumps in play and remain disciplined. Early wickets will be crucial for the home side. Aniket Verma and Pat Cummins provided brief sparks, but LSG kept striking back. Towards the end, Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan got together to ensure that they finished well, with just 10 runs coming off the last 2 overs. Thakur, who struck early, returned at the backend to finish with four wickets, while Prince Yadav was the most economical bowler of the night, returning figures of 1 for 29 in his four overs.

After the toss fell LSG's way, Shardul Thakur struck twice in the Powerplay to give his side the ideal start. It could have been even better had Travis Head’s catch been taken, but the missed opportunity didn’t prove too costly. The Super Giants managed to tighten the screws in the middle overs, with Prince Yadav playing a key role in stifling the scoring. Nitish Kumar Reddy struggled to get going and departed just when the Sunrisers needed a push.

A commendable effort from the Lucknow Super Giants! Given the firepower in SRH's batting lineup, they would have taken this total at the start of the day. With timely breakthroughs and disciplined bowling, LSG can be satisfied with a job well done.

Aniket Verma and Pat Cummins provided brief sparks, but LSG kept striking back. Towards the end, Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan got together to ensure that they finished well, with just 10 runs coming off the last 2 overs. After the toss fell LSG's way, Shardul Thakur struck twice in the Powerplay to give his side the ideal start.
