190/9(20 Overs)

Right then, 205 is the magic number for DC to pull off their seventh win of the season. Also, we don't have any official word on Axar Patel's injury. He was seen in the dugout, though. He has been a decent contributor with the bat as well, and if he won't come out to bat, it can be a big blow for the home side. But for KKR, they would think they left 10-15 runs behind, especially with the rollicking start they got. Now, with the dew expected to settle in, it will be interesting to see how their

Angkrish Raghuvanshi of KKR, is in for a chat. He says the total seems to be at par and informs that the wicket is very good to bat and they will need to bowl really well. Adds that the ball wasn't gripping a lot for the spinners as well. Mentions that they have an extra spinner in the side and hope they can extract a bit more purchase. Says that he has never batted at number 4 in his entire life and is just trying to have fun and get a hang of it. Concludes that he tries to bat with intent.

With minimum risk-taking against spin, both bailed KKR out of trouble and added 51 runs after the halfway mark till the 16th over. But yet again, the momentum was magnificently pulled back by DC as they dismissed both set batters in quick intervals. This led KKR to slip again from 174/4 to 177/6. Andre Russell, on his birthday, did entertain the fans with a couple of lusty blows, which included a towering six downtown, but KKR could only manage to muster 36 runs off the last four overs, losing 5

The platform was laid solidly by the top order, and it was about consolidating this start, but with the arrival of spinners in tandem, the scoring rate dipped a bit, and KKR lost all the momentum with the quick departures of Narine and Rahane in the span of just a few balls. As a result, KKR slipped from 85/1 to 113/4 in no time. But Angkrish Raghuvanshi didn't let the run rate dip down, as he looked in immense control with the bat. He found an able ally in Rinku Singh as the two formed a solid

KKR got off to a very intent-laden start as Gurbaz initiated the attack, while Narine too, didn't back away from playing his shots. Though Gurbaz's quickfire cameo didn't last long, Ajinkya Rahane picked up the pace right on and treated with some classy shots. The ball came nicely on the bat, and hence, the batters feasted on the Powerplay period with KKR racing to 79/1 in the first six.

Kolkata Knight Riders did breach the 200-run mark, but it will be the Delhi Capitals heading back into the dugout with all the momentum here. They have pulled things back magnificently in the second half of the first innings, and the cherry on the top was Mitchell Starc's final over, where he just conceded 9 runs, and picked two wickets, along with a run out. Gee, he loves to bowl at the death, doesn't he?

Mitchell Starc to Varun Chakaravarthy, A single to end. Delhi Capitals have fought back well to restrict Kolkata Knight Riders to 204/9. Hard length, over off, Varun Chakaravarthy is hurried but splices it to mid off for a single.

Varun Chakaravarthy is out to face the last ball of the first inning.

Mitchell Starc to Harshit Rana, ! RUN OUT! Not a Hattrick for Mitchell Starc but a hattrick of wickets for Delhi Capitals! The over started with a six but seems like will end as the best one yet.

It is a wicket, but is it a run out or caught behind? Mitchell Starc is confident that Rana has nicked off the outside edge. And DC go upstairs for the review. UltraEdge comes up and shows a spike when the ball is next to the bat.

Harshit Rana is in at number 10.

Mitchell Starc to Anukul Roy, ! CAUGHT! Dushmantha Chameera pulls off an absolute blinder and Mitchell Starc is now on a Hattrick! Starc fires it full and on the pads again. Anukul Roy gets his front leg out and flicks it well to the left of deep square leg. The ball rockets flat but Dushmantha Chameera flings himelf to his left and takes an outrageous catch with both hands, while being airbone. A golden duck for Anukul Roy!

Anukul Roy is in at number 9.

Mitchell Starc to Rovman Powell, ! LBW! Mitchell Starc gets his second. Rovman Powell has sent it upstairs but seems more like as a formality. He starts walking off even before the verdict is out. Very full, on middle and leg, Rovman Powell is caught into a tangle and looks to tuck it across and misses onto the pads. Nothing on UltraEdge and the Ball Tracking comes up as three reds.

Mitchell Starc to Andre Russell, TWO WIDES! Another review for a wide called from Delhi Capitals!

Mitchell Starc to Andre Russell, WIDE! Goes short and over middle, Andre Russell ducks under. It is called a wide and Delhi Capitals have decided to send it upstairs. The side on replays roll and the Ball Tracking shows the ball to be over the head height of the batter. The onfield call of wide stays and DC lose the review.

Mitchell Starc to Andre Russell, ! Perfect start to the over from Andre Russell! A low full toss, on off,  Andre Russell pumps it straight down the ground, over the bowler's head for a big six. The 200 is up for KKR with this mammoth biggie!

While diving and stopping the ball, Axar Patel landed right on the ball, with his left palm getting slammed on it. He is a bit of pain and walks off the field.

Vipraj Nigam to Rovman Powell, ! Nicely done! Much-needed for KKR. Short and on middle and leg, Rovman Powell plants his front leg across and sweeps it fine, behind the keeper to his left for a boundary.

Vipraj Nigam to Rovman Powell, An appeal for LBW but turned down. Full and on middle and leg, turning in, Rovman Powell looks to nudge it across but misses onto the pads.

Vipraj Nigam to Rovman Powell, Short and on middle, Rovman Powell tucks it to mid on region. Axar Patel from mid-wicket puts in a dive to make a fine stop. He seems to have hurt his hand while doing so.

Rovman Powell is in at number 8 for KKR.

Vipraj Nigam to Rinku Singh, ! CAUGHT! Delhi Capitals are closing very well here! Second one for Vipraj Nigam and KKR lose their sixth! Vipraj tosses it up, on off and Rinku Singh gets low to whip it across the line. Gets a decent connection but not the elevation. The ball goes flat and to the left of long on where Mitchell Starc stays rooted to the ground, just inches inside the rope and takes a fine catch high over his left shoulder with both hands.

With one more big hitter in the wings, Kolkata Knight Riders will be eyeing a total in excess of 220.

Vipraj Nigam to Andre Russell, Full, on middle, Andre Russell tucks it in front of mid-wicket. The bowler and the fielder stop for the other to mop it up but the batters sneak a quick single.

Vipraj Nigam to Rinku Singh, Short and outside off, Rinku Singh pulls it to the right of long on for one.

Dushmantha Chameera to Andre Russell, End of an outstanding over. Just 7 runs and a wicket off it. Another pinpoint accurate wide yorker and Andre Russell cannot get any bat on it.

Andre Russell is in at number 7.

Dushmantha Chameera to Angkrish Raghuvanshi, ! CAUGHT! Comeback stronger than a setback, says Dushmantha Chameera! After going for 25 runs in his first over, he comes back and bowls brilliantly to get rid of Angkrish Raghuvanshi! Strategic Break! KKR have slightly lost the momentum, but with Angkrish Raghuvanshi well set and Rinku Singh settling in, now is the time to shift gears and unleash in the final six overs. With plenty of firepower still waiting in the wings, KKR will look to capitalise on their strong start and post a formidable total. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals know that a couple of quick wickets here could flip the script entirely and hand them the upper hand. It’s building up to a thrilling finish!

Strategic Break. It's been a very positive start for KKR, with intent. The top order has formed a solid base inside the Powerplay and it is now time for them to consolidate this start. DC bowlers, on the other hand, haven't been up to their best so far and need to get quick breakthroughs to halt KKR's runaway train. It appears to be a good batting track with no such demons in it. Starc, interestingly, has bowled three overs, which means, he won't be bowling in that middle over phase. It is up t

Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders is up for a quick chat. He begins by saying they didn't want to be in this position, but is also confident that they still have a chance. Points that after playing so many games and with senior guys in the think tank, things become very easy. Also opines that they will try to win all 5 games in a row, but they can't win all in a day, hence, they are taking one game at a time. Mentions that he and Varun always try to help the team in the best way possible,

The captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, Ajinkya Rahane, says that they are going with one change, with Anukul Roy coming in the side. Admits that it has been challenging so far, and they need to win all their five remaining games. But adds they are taking one game at a time and trying to give their best to move forward. Concludes by saying they will have to assess the conditions

The captain of Delhi Capitals, Axar Patel, says batting becomes easier under dew that's why he wants to bowl first. Informs they go unchanged. States that the wicket looks slow, but certainly better than the previous one, and 190-200 should be a score to look for. Further adds that they will assess the conditions and see how it plays. TOSS UPDATE - The flip of the coin lands in favor of Delhi Capitals and Axar Patel elects to BOWL first.
