Patna: Grappling with strains in the ruling NDA over the issue of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi campaigning in poll-bound Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday warned party leaders to desist from airing their views in public on any issue.
"I warn party leaders not to air their views publicly on
any issue for which only an authorised office bearer or
spokesperson can speak on behalf of the party," Kumar told
reporters.
"If anyone has any grudge they are free to come and meet
me," he said.
He was reacting to JD(U) MP Monazir Hassan`s statement
that he was feeling suffocated being a partner of BJP and that
the top JD(U) leadership snap ties with it immediately.
Stating that Hassan should not forget that he was earlier
a minister and then became a Lok Sabha member with the support
of BJP, the chief minister said, "It is very sad to hear such
things from him (Hassan)."
