Araria (Bihar): Five packets of heroin,
worth about Rs five crore, were seized from a vehicle in
Araria district on Tuesday, a Seema Surakhsa Bal (SSB) official
said.
The contraband, believed to have been made in
Afghanistan, was recovered during search of a vehicle when
it was moving towards Bathnaha in the district, SSB 26th
battalion Commandant A K Singhand said.
The vehicle was coming from Birpur in Supaul district.
One Surya Narayan Paswan was arrested in this
connection.
The heroin was being sent to Central Crime Science
Laboratory for test, Singh said.
