Patna: Independent MLA from Dehri in Bihar`s Rohtas district Jyoti Rashmi, who had sat on dharna in the well of assembly yesterday, was taken out by the watch and ward staff late last evening.
Even after the house was adjourned for the day
yesterday, Rashmi had remained on the dharna in the well to press for CBI probe into the charges against her husband and former legislator Pradeep Joshi, accused of illegal mining in Rohtas district.
"I was physically lifted and taken out to my vehicle
by the watch and ward staff," the MLA said.
JD(U) MLA Ram Sevak Hazare expressed sympathy with
Rashmi and said the way the woman was taken out and sent home
last night was not proper.
He also opposed suspension of the woman MLA for the remaining three sittings of the budget session.
Leader of the opposition Abdul Bari Siddiqui also
voiced concern over the action against the woman MLA and
opposed her suspension.
Rashmi was twice suspended earlier during the budget
session for sitting on dharna in the well.
