Notification issued for second phase of Bihar polls

Patna: The notification for the second of six phases of the Bihar elections was issued Wednesday.

In the second round due Oct 24, polling will be held in 45 of 243 assembly constituencies.

The notification for the first phase, when polls will be held Oct 21 in 47 seats, was issued Monday.
Among the constituencies going to the polls in the first phase are Kosi and Mithila. The second phase includes Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Sheohar, Sitamarhi and Darbhanga districts.
Bihar will elect a 243-member assembly in staggered polling that begins Oct 21 and ends Nov 20. The results will be known Nov 24.
