Sonia, Rahul should change their speech writers: BJP

New Delhi: BJP on Thursday advised Congress
president Sonia Gandhi and general secretary Rahul Gandhi to
change their speech writers, saying the two leaders used terms
like "merchant of death" and were "ranting like king-queen"
that they had given funds to Bihar from the "royal treasury".

"I would advise Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to
change their speech writers as they put the two leaders in
trouble in every election," BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas
Naqvi said.
BJP and its ally JD(U) have expressed their
displeasure at the two Congress leaders and Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh for repeatedly asserting during the election
meetings in Bihar that Centre had given sufficient funds to
the state but these were not utilised properly by the NDA
government there.

"Earlier by calling a state `merchant of death` and
now in Bihar, their ranting like king-queen that funds were
given from the royal treasury is ebbing their (Sonia Gandhi
and Rahul) remaining credibility," he said.

The senior BJP leader said the "ego and
over-confidence" of Congress leaders has removed them from
ground reality.
They cannot see the party and its government cannot
see the anger and disappointment of the people, Naqvi said.

The UPA government at the Centre is following weak
policies in fighting corruption, price rise, terrorism and
naxalism, he said adding BJP will launch agitations against
the "bunglings, scams and false promises" of the government.
