Puducherry: The online killer game Blue Whale Challenge is spreading its tentacles fast.

The Russian-based online game Blue Whale Challenge has claimed the life of a college student from Pondicherry University.

The game is targeted at teenagers and forces them to perform several dangerous activities, finally leading them to commit suicide. The game has claimed many lives in India and abroad.

The deadly online challenges players for over 50 days, wherein demanding them to complete tasks given by an anonymous controller.

The game firstly asks the player to draw a whale on a piece of paper, then carve a whale figure on their body, and then gives other tasks such as watching horror movies alone etc. The tasks include the final challenge to commit suicide.

Meanwhile, reports on Thursday said that a 17-year-old Russian girl has been identified as the alleged mastermind of the Blue Whale suicide game.

The teenager and a 21-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the deadly online game, the metro.co.uk reported.
