Batla House encounter: Terror group with links to ISIS threatens to take revenge

New Delhi: ISIS-linked terror group Ansar-ul-Tawhid Fi Bilad Al Hind (AuT) on the occasion of sixth anniversary of 2008 Batla House encounter on Friday vowed to take revenge.

Tweeting from their official Twitter handle @isabahmedia2, the terror group called Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives Atif Ameen and Mohammed Sajid as martyrs.

“We the mujahideen of Ansar-ul-Tawhid Fi Bilad Al Hind renew our pledge to avenge the martyrdom of the Batla House encounter and all other oppressed Muslims including our imprisoned brothers unless and until we establish Sharia law in India under the global Khilafah wiping out all the man-made boundaries,” the group tweeted.

The message was posted in Hindi, English, Arabic and Urdu languages.

The encounter took place on September 19, 2008 in which a special cell of Delhi police raided the Batla House flat in Jamia Nagar after a tip-off that terrorists, who were part of the September 13, 2008 serial blasts in Delhi which killed 23 people, were staying.

IM operatives Atif Ameen and Mohammed Sajid were killed in the encounter.

Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, who led the seven-member team to the Batla House, succumbed to bullet injuries sustained during the encounter.
