Boy hit by javelin in Delhi school dies in AIIMS

Eleven-year-old Delhi schoolboy, Roshan Lama, has succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS on Monday after being hit on the head by a javelin on 01 October.

New Delhi: Eleven-year-old Delhi schoolboy, Roshan Lama, has succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS on Monday after being hit on the head by a javelin on 01 October.

Lama, who was on the ventilator for the past few days died in the afternoon today. His body has been handed over to his family after post-mortem.

A class VI student of Sarvodaya Government School in CR Park in South Delhi, Lama was injured when a javelin thrown by a senior student hit his head.
His father, Suraj Lama, who is a driver by profession, received his body from the hospital.

Doctors claim that Roshan was critical since the day he was brought to AIIMS. They also said that he had received multiple injuries in brain and was bleeding profusely.

The student, who threw the javelin at him, has been sent to remand home by Juvenile Justice Board. A case under Section 337 of IPS (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) has been registered against him. Moreover, the physical instructor of the school has also been arrested.
