Delhi polls: BJP, Congress leaders join AAP

New Delhi: Three new leaders from the BJP and Congress, including Dhir Singh Bidhuri who lost the last Assembly elections from Okhla on a BJP ticket, joined Aam Aadmi Party today.

Leaders from the Congress who joined the party were Ravinder Kochar and Shabnam Khan, who was associated with the Youth Congress.

Bidhuri resigned from BJP following the party's decision to field former Delhi BSP president Chaudhary Brahm Singh from the seat.

He, however, denied to have quit the party for not being given a ticket to contest the polls. "I cannot continue in a party that fields a corrupt candidate like him (Singh). It's not about being denied a ticket because that is completely up to the party. Contesting elections is not a big thing for me."

Amanatullah Khan is the AAP candidate from the Okhla constituency for the Assembly election to be held on February 7.
