Tokyo: A recent underwater volcanic eruption in the Pacific Ocean has created an island in the shape of Snoopy, the fictional character created by Charles M Schulz. Snoopy Island, was created by two active volcanoes, that lie along the `Ring of Fire` in the Pacific Ocean. The Japanese navy first spotted a new islet about 1,000 kilometres (600 miles) south of Tokyo on 20, November, 2013, around the Ogasawara island chain. This islet expanded and merged with an existing island, eventually taking the shape of Charlie Brown`s pet dog including his collar. This `collar` is a stretch of reddish seawater possibly caused by molten magma. This shape is temporary as Niijima island is still growing, said reports. Authorities have warned people to stay away as the volcanoes are still active.
