Addressing an election rally in this picturesque town in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges, Modi said, “Yeh Dil Maange More , give us 300 lotuses and I want all the four seats from Himachal Pradesh."

“We will give India a strong government. I am asking you for 60 months...can`t you give 60 months to this `sevak` to serve you?,” he added. Attacking the Congress, Modi said, “I don`t like saying it but Congress is the party that betrays people, it is a dhokebaaz party and its manifesto is dhokapatra”, adding, “we will fulfil your dreams that lie broken in the last decade.”

Clearly, Modi appears to be confident of getting the numbers to realise his Delhi dream. His prime ministerial bid had started with an aim to get 272 seats for the NDA. However, the party now appears to have set its eyes on crossing the 300 seats mark.

Pre-poll survey had predicted that Modi appears to be on course to reach 7 Race Course Road, later many analysts had noticed a groundswell of support for the BJP in states and regions where it has traditionally been weak. Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam are some of the key states where the BJP is believed to have made inroads.

The assumption gained credence given the all-attack on Modi by regional heavyweights like J Jayalalithaa and Mamata Banerjee.

More than half of India has already voted. The `Modi wave` real test will be on May 16 and the nation is waiting for the result.
