Goa runway repair to affect flights tomorrow

At least ten flights, including international charters, from Goa`s Dabolim Airport have been re-scheduled on Saturday morning due to re-carpeting work at the runway.

New Delhi: At least ten flights, including international charters, from Goa`s Dabolim Airport have been re-scheduled on Saturday morning due to re-carpeting work at the
runway.

Naval authorities, which run the airport, have issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) informing them that the runway would remain closed from 2115 hours tonight till 0700 hours tomorrow for carrying out re-carpeting work on a stretch, an official
spokesperson said here.

International flights which have been rescheduled include those of Qatar Airways and foreign charter companies Nordwind and Vim Airlines.

Domestic flights of Air India, Kingfisher Airlines and GoAir for tomorrow morning have also been rescheduled, they said, adding that all these flights have been delayed by 30 to
90 minutes.
