Panaji: The investigations in the death of 28-year-old Nadia Torrado, who died after allegedly consuming poison, has found that there were 11 injury marks on her body.

"The postmortem conducted by a private hospital in Chennai has reported 11 injury marks," a senior police officer told reporters.

Goa Tourism Minister Fransisco Pacheco had resigned from the Cabinet over allegations about his involvement in the death of his close friend Torrado and was questioned by the
state police Crime Branch.

The minister is on the run and is likely to move for anticipatory bail.

Torrado died on May 30 at Chennai after allegedly consuming rat poison and thereafter a postmortem was conducted on her body. The second autopsy was conducted when the body was brought to Goa next day.
"Even in the second postmortem few bruises were seen," police said. Sources said that the injury marks were seen on the forearm, upper arm, thighs, legs, shoulder and chest during the first autopsy.

The Crime Branch had on Friday said that they had not received the postmortem report from a Chennai hospital where Torrado had died.
Police had kept the autopsy findings under wraps and have been interrogating Torrado`s family including her mother, Sonia, who was questioned for the third day on Sunday.

Torrado`s house at Loutolim was also searched by the police.
